
Where’s Sam? Hiker Vanished Near WA Peak 7 Years Ago
The seven year anniversary recently passed of the day a young woman disappeared in close proximity to a 6,200 foot peak in northwestern Washington State.

The Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest is about a six hour drive west of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. It was in the North Cascades Mountains where Samantha Sayers was last heard from preparing for a solo accent of Vesper Peak on the morning of Wednesday, August 1, 2018.
Washington State Hiker Has Been Missing For Seven Years

Sayers was an experienced hiker who lived in the Seattle area. At the time of her disappearance, she weighed approximately 125 pounds and stood 5'8." She had a shaved head, and several piercings, along with head and neck tattoos, according to strangeoutdoors.com.

Samantha's family posted a heartfelt message of hope in 2023 along with further details about her personal life and the relationship she was in when she disappeared. It's been reported that her boyfriend attempted to locate her the day she went missing and arrived at the mountain around 8 P.M., according to the Missing Persons and True Crime Meta page.
Samantha posted on Facebook about her intentions to climb the mountain that day, and asked if anyone wanted to join her. No one could, and there has been no trace of her since her final text to her boyfriend in the hours leading up to her climb.
