2 Snowplows Hit by Freight Trucks on I-84 Near Twin Falls, ID
Two separate accidents involving snowplows and semi-trucks Wednesday morning blocked traffic on I-84 near Twin Falls, Idaho for 4 hours.
Injury Accident: Snowplow Hit by Truck on I-84 Near Twin Falls, ID
Idaho State Police responded to an injury accident Wednesday at 6 AM on I-84 at mile marker 173 near Twin Falls.
A 55-year-old male of Gooding was driving on eastbound I84 at milepost 173 in a snowplow. A 66-year-old male of Meridian was driving eastbound on I84 in a 2024 International semi-truck. The semi-truck failed to slow for the snowplow and struck the back of the snowplow. The driver of the snowplow was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital.
Drivers involved were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident. Mile marker 173 is the I-84/Highway 93 interchange and is currently a construction zone.

A separate accident involving a snowplow and a semi-truck on I-84 was just reported by the Idaho State Police. The situation is nearly identical to the first accident. The accident happened a little after noon on Wednesday on I-84 near Wendell at mile marker 153.
A 47-year-old male from Gooding, ID, was driving on eastbound I84 at milepost 153 in a snowplow. A 59-year-old male from Black Canyon City, AZ, was driving eastbound on I84 in a 2015 Mack semi-truck. The semi-truck failed to slow for the snowplow and struck the back of the snowplow. The driver of the snowplow was transported by personal vehicle to a local hospital.
Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts. Both accidents in this story are being investigated by ISP.
