3 Idaho Men Charged and Sentenced in Child Exploitation Cases
Halloween is over, but there are still creepy things happening in Idaho. Three men in Idaho have been convicted and sentenced in three separate child exploitation cases.
3 Men Charged for Child Exploitation in Idaho Cases
The United States Department of Justice in the District of Idaho announced that 3 men have been charged and sentenced in cases that involved child exploitation, including child pornography and child enticement.
The men are David William Peer of Moscow, Eric Marshall Villa of Lewiston, and Donovan Vinton Nagle of Rathdrum. Read about each of their crimes and sentencing below.
David William Peer, 47 years old, received the longest sentence of the three recent convictions. Peer was sentenced to 120 months (10 years) in federal prison for possession of child pornography. The DOJ report says that they were tipped off by an email provider that a user was sending child pornography using their email system. Police tracked the mails to a registered sex offender in Moscow, that person was David Peer.
Authorities found more than 1,000 images of child pornography on his cell phone. Following his jail time, Peer will be placed on supervised release for the rest of his life. Peer was also sentenced in 2015 on child pornography related charges.
Eric Marshall Villa, 39 years old, was sentenced to 108 months (9 years) in federal prison for possession of child pornography. Villa was caught sharing the images online, which included distributing more than 550 videos and 100,000 files. He also received more than 750 videos of child pornography. After his jail time Villa will be placed on 15 years of supervised release.
Donovan Vinton Nagle, 62 years old, was sentenced to 90 months (7 and a half years) in federal prison for attempted child enticement. Court records state that Nagle ‘engaged in explicit communications with an undercover agent…who was posing as the mother of an 11-year-old girl. Nagle expressed sexual interest in the fictional child, sent explicit photographs, and arranged to meet the mother and child for a sexual encounter.’
At the arranged meeting point, Nagle was arrested in the parking lot with a bag of candy, ice cream bars, and energy drinks. After serving his time in jail he will be placed on supervised release for the rest of his life.
