Jerome Man Sentenced to 7 Years for Intent to Sell Meth in Idaho
A man from Jerome, Idaho has been sentenced to 7 years in prison for possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute in Idaho.
The man, who was also caught with firearms and other drug paraphernalia, will serve his sentence in a federal prison.
Jerome Man Sentenced for Possession with Intent to Distribute Meth in Idaho
According to the press release from the United States Attorney’s Office, James Earl Wright is a 49 year old male from Jerome Idaho who was part of a large drug trafficking network between Idaho and Oregon. The report states:
Wright was found with a total of more than one and a quarter pounds of methamphetamine, two firearms, and a small amount of cocaine between the dates of June 28, 2023 and February 7, 2024. When he was arrested after his federal indictment, he was in possession of a loaded handgun, two loaded magazines, more than an ounce of methamphetamine, two cell phones, two scales, small plastic baggies, and two drug ledgers.
Wright was sentenced to 84 months in federal prison for his crimes, which include possession with intent to distribute meth. In addition to the jail time, Wright has been ordered to pay a $500 fine and serve 4 years of supervised release after his jail time is over.
