There have been a few shootings in Twin Falls over the last few months. 2 of the most recent happened on August 9th and August 15th.

Arrests have now been made in connection to both shootings.

Twin Falls Police Investigating a Non-Injury Shooting Near Gas Station

On August 15th around 9:20 PM, Twin Falls Police responded to a shots fired call. They were dispatched to the area of Washington Street and Filer Ave. Their investigation led them to a vehicle that was parked near Ketchum Street and 4th Ave. E, which is only 1 block away from the Twin Falls Police Department and a Fire Station.

Police found a car with multiple bullet holes and a shattered passenger-side window. Evidence was collected from the parking lot of a business at the original dispatch location of Washington and Filer. At the time there were no reports or evidence that anyone had been injured in the shooting.

Police Make Arrest Connected to Twin Falls Gas Station Shooting

Officers in Twin Falls have now made an arrest connected to the shooting on the 15th. They arrested 34-year-old Zachariah M. Gonzales from Twin Falls and charged him with 2 counts of aggravated assault and 1 count of discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle.

The incident remains under investigation and the suspect remains innocent until proven guilty. Gonzales has previous misdemeanor charges (Case #CR42-22-5230) for Inattentive/Careless Driving, Driving Without Privileges, and Failure to Notify Upon Striking Fixtures on Highway while Driving in 2023.

A few days before the shooting on the 15th, police responded to an injury shooting in downtown Twin Falls on the evening of August 9th.

Isaac Jauregui-Ramos was arrested in connection to that shooting and charged with aggravated battery. He is also presumed innocent until proven guilty.
