Idaho Police Reporting 1 Killed and 1 Injured Monday in Accident Near Burley

Monday afternoon, a single-vehicle accident resulted in the death of one man, and another man sent to a local hospital.

Idaho State Police are Reporting a Fatality Accident Near Burley

The accident happened Monday around 12:20 in the afternoon on 1300 W and 760 S, southwest of Burley in Cassia County:

A 2001 Ford F150, with a 28-year-old male and a 23-year-old male of Hansen, were traveling northbound on 1300 West at approximately 760 South. The vehicle drove off the roadway and overturned. The 28-year-old male succumbed to his injuries on scene. No seat belts were worn.

The 23-year-old male was transported via air ambulance to a local hospital.

The tragic crash is being investigated by the Idaho State Police.

Another single-vehicle accident is being investigated by ISP after a man was killed when the motorcycle he was riding left the road and struck a tree in Payette County:

A 47-year-old-male from Emmett, was driving a 2023 BMW R 1250 motorcycle southbound on Sand Hollow Road. The motorcycle drove off the roadway where it struck a tree. The male rider succumbed to his injuries on scene.

The rider was wearing a helmet.

A 3rd single-vehicle accident since Saturday is being reported by, and investigated by the Idaho State Police:

Idaho State Police is investigating a single vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 6:11 a.m. on Tuesday October 10, 2023, eastbound US26 at milepost 375, near Swan Valley.

A 23-year-old male from Idaho Falls was driving eastbound in a Chevrolet 5500 box truck on US26 near milepost 375. The driver fell asleep and went off the right shoulder and over-turned into the river. There was no fuel leakage from the vehicle.

Unknown if the driver was wearing a seatbelt.
