Man From CA Trafficked Fentanyl to Idaho: Sentenced to Time in Federal Prison
Authorities in Idaho have served justice to 2 more drug traffickers, one of which was sentenced in late April and the other just a few days ago in early December.
California Man Sentenced For Drug Trafficking in Idaho
Andrew George Haney, a 41-year-old from Torrance California, and Anthony Michael Stratton, a 35-year-old from Pocatello, Idaho were each sentenced to time in federal prison. Haney was sentenced on April 23rd to 70 months in prison while Stratton was sentenced on December 5th to 44 months in federal prison. Both men will also serve 3 years of supervised release following their prison sentences.
Stratton is also serving 5 years from a separate fentanyl distribution case. The announcement was made by the Department of Justice on December 10th, 2024.
2 Men Sentenced For Trafficking Drugs From California to Idaho
The two men worked together to transport 2,000 fentanyl pills from California into Idaho.
The press release states that Stratton provided Haney with the money to transport the pills. The fentanyl pills were hidden in candy boxes and discovered by police in Pocatello, Idaho during a traffic stop.
The DOJ in Idaho also recently announced the sentencing of 4 other drug traffickers. A meth dealer from Idaho Falls was sentenced to 10 years, announced on December 6th. On December 4th it was announced that 2 meth dealers and a fentanyl trafficker had been sentenced to a combined time of nearly 10 years in federal prison.
