We're not sure why, or how it happened, exactly.

There's this weird rift between locals from Idaho, and Californians who have relocated to Idaho in the past few years.

According to the comments on our socials (not for the faint of heart), it's something along the line of...people from California are:

  • Trying to make Idaho like California
  • Making the cost of living go up
  • Causing longer lines while shopping
  • The main contributor to increased traffic in the Treasure Valley

We can go on and on. You get the idea.

So, to settle this, we figured why not leave it up to the powers that be. The higher powers, if you will.

Pew Researched ranked every state in the U.S. based on responses to surveys where citizens answered how important religion is to them, how often they worship, if they believe in a higher power, etc. After averaging out the responses, you may be a little disappointed here in a moment.

Idaho ranked as the 33rd most religious state in the country.

But, there's a silver lining here, dear reader:

California ranked as the 35th most religious state in the county.

That's right.

IDAHO DID BETTER THAN CALIFORNIA AT SOMETHING!!!!

So, um, take that, you sunshine-loving nerds. You heathens.

If you're feeling the holy spirit at the moment, perhaps you need a little Jesus in your life. I got you. I mean, we're the 33rd most religious state in the country. Blessed be.
