This writer is a life-long gamer. My cousin brought over his original Nintendo Entertainment System with Super Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt when I was a child, and that was it. Instant obsession for the rest of my life.

So how in the hell did I guess completely wrong on Idaho's favorite video game in 2025?

Idaho's most-searched video game in 2025 isn't Fortnite or Roblox.

To be clear, this list is based on the most searched game in each state. Measuring the "most played" by state is quite difficult, with different gaming platforms, measurement systems, etc. However, checking out what games fans are Googling in each state gives us a pretty good indicator of what games are popular there.

Idaho's most-searched video game in 2025? I figured it'd definitely be Fortnite or Roblox. It's not. Then I figured, it's gotta be Call of Duty or Battlefield. Also, nope.

It's Helldivers II.

A video game about blasting aliens in the face with giant guns. Honestly, with how crazy 2025 has been, it's no surprise gamers want to blow off a little steam by decapitating a couple of lifeforms from other planets. That checks out.
