Beloved Idaho Bakery Asks for Help as Owner Faces Cancer Battle

We're lucky here in the Treasure Valley to be home to so many locally owned businesses. It seems that in the Treasure Valley, folks understand the importance of supporting local as often as possible and we're totally here for it.

From breweries to restaurants, bakeries to furniture-- there's a local solution for nearly everything!

One local business, which has grown to be quite popular and has developed a true 'cult-like' following is Hudson Baking Company in Kuna, Idaho. The small bakery cranks out everything sourdough-- from cinnamon rolls to loaves and even chocolate sourdough! It's amazing!

Some unfortunate news broke about a year ago, surrounding the health of Aaron Hudson of Hudson Baking Company and now, an update has the bakery asking for help from the community.

Owner and baker, Aaron Hudson, continues to battle metastatic cancer.

After battling cancer just a few years ago, it has resurfaced--aggressively, according to the bakery's post.

A graduate of Boise High School and a veteran of the United States Army--Aaron is a perfect example of what it means to be a local business owner--constantly participating in local charitable events and finding ways to give back to the place that has always been home.

In their latest update online, Aaron's wife, Anna, shared:

...Aaron will require costly treatments, and we are determined to do everything in our power to ensure he receives the care he needs. We kindly ask for your prayers during this challenging time. If you feel compelled to donate, we extend our heartfelt gratitude. We hope to continue baking for our community for many years to come, and we are eternally grateful for the incredible support we have received.

Right now, we are waiting to learn more.  But Aaron is the strongest person I’ve ever known. And the love and support surrounding us is beyond anything we could’ve imagined. Thank you for standing beside our family and our shop.

One way to support the family is to visit the bakery, of course. Another would be to give any amount that you could to help Aaron's family afford life-saving treatment. Prayers, positive vibes, you name it--it all helps a neighbor in need right now.
