Does Idaho love Costco? It seems that isn't even a question if you drive past any of the locations in our area on just about any day. Shoppers know that Costco offers quality items and discounted and 'wholesale' prices--and the major grocer seems to hold on to its cult following pretty aggressively.

You were warned months ago now that changes were on the way to your Costco experience and now, they're official.

Let's say it together: price hikes.

For the first time since 2017 (if you can believe it) the cost of membership to be able to SHOP at your local Costco is increasing.

With all of this demand in place by loyal Costco shoppers, it's clear that the grocery and wholesale giant has a pretty good hold on its base of 'followers'.

Let's not forget, however, that shopping at Costco isn't free.

Shopping anywhere isn't free--but it literally costs to be able to shop inside of your local Costco store.

Certainly, families and businesses heavily rely on Costco for great deals on items and food--in large quantities. It seems tough to believe that many will cancel membership from this marginal bump.

It seems that those rumors do have some truth to them and it's only a matter of time.
