When it comes to a career choice, it's not always about the job, it's also about where you live. We found Idaho among the top ten best states to live if you want to make a living as a police officer.

You could make more in Washington, but is $72k a year worth living in the 15th least affordable state?

The team over at PoliceOne.com crunched some numbers and found Idaho was a great place to live for police officers. It's interesting to note that Idaho doesn't rank among the highest for pay. In fact, Idaho police are the least paid on the entire list, with an average annual income of $48,630.

But PoliceOne also looked at the cost of housing, groceries, healthcare, (and some other stuff) and found Idaho to be the third most affordable in country.  So you could make more in Washington, but is $72k a year worth living in the 15th least affordable state?
