Is Alleged Murderer Travis Decker Still on the Loose?

Losing a child is tough, but losing all three of your daughters at the hands of their father? That is something most will never be able to comprehend and have to deal with. Back in June, three young girls were found murdered not far from their father's truck in Washington, and since then, a manhunt has been taking place to find the father, who most assume committed this heinous crime. It has now been over 100 days since this sad incident took place, and many are left asking, What is the latest with Travis Decker? 

Has Travis Decker Been Found?

Travis Decker is a wanted man. He has been on the run for over a hundred days after allegedly murdering his three daughters, Olivia, Evelyn, and Paityn. The man is a former military member and is trained to survive in the woods and to go off the grid. This training has helped him avoid officials for over three months, and outside of a few suspected sightings, which all turned out to be false leads, there hasn't been much in the case to break the way of officials. There was speculation that they had found him at one point after coming across some bones, only to discover that the bones were not human and clearly could not have belonged to Decker. A few days after that, another set of bones was found, and this time they are believed to be the man that officials have been looking for. 

Is Travis Decker Alive or Dead? 

After miles and miles of searching, looking in multiple states, and even crossing the border to search in Canada, officials believe they may have finally found Travis Decker, less than a mile from where they found his three daughters. On Thursday, September 18, bone fragments, torn clothing that matches the description of what Decker was last seen wearing, and other remains were discovered in terrain that is not easily accessible, not far from where his truck and daughters were discovered back in June. It is uncertain if the remains are indeed Decker, but evidence points towards it being him, and the labs will verify it soon enough.

If the remains are not Decker's, then the search will continue, and if they come back as an identification, then the search is over, and questions will be asked: what happened to him in the woods, what caused him to do what he did, and will the family ever get the closure and answers they are looking for?
