Gas Leak Forces Traffic Diversion
A backhoe is apparently to blame for causing a natural gas leak at the intersection of Falls Ave. and Washington Street North yesterday. No one was hurt in the incident but it did take crews a few hours to cap the line and clean up from the incident. Traffic had to be rerouted away from the intersection for most of the evening. Crews are working on the intersection and one of the backhoes may have struck the line.
