The Cassia County school district is eliminating 5 and a half positions next year. The Times News reports that the school district has trimmed $879,699 from its fiscal 2012 salaries budget. On Tuesday district officials adopted a $43.2 million budget for the coming year. One official says the district won’t replace 5 1/2 positions left open by retiring or departing teachers.
