Caldwell Police Officer Indicted on Excessive Force Allegations
CALDWELL, Idaho (KLIX)-A lieutenant with the Caldwell Police Department is facing allegations for using excessive force and falsifying reports. According to U.S. Attorney Rafael Gonzalez Jr., Lt. Joseph Hoadley was indicted by a federal grand jury on April 13. The indictment alleges Officer Hoadley in March of 2017, used unreasonable force when he struck a person being arrested then falsified reports to cover up the alleged excessive force. Hoadley is scheduled to be arraigned in magistrate court in Boise on April 19. He could face 20 years in prison on the charge of falsifying reports and 10 years for the unreasonable force charge.
