Brett Young Heading Out on the Chapters Tour in 2020
Brett Young is embarking on a headlining tour in 2020 that should be personal and reflective.
Titled the Chapters Tour (named after the song "Chapters" featuring Gavin Gavin DeGraw on Young's sophomore album Ticket to L.A.), the trek is described as a celebration of Young's milestones throughout his career. He will bring this journey to more than 20 cities across the U.S. and Canada during the first half of 2020.
Matt Ferranti, who plays guitar for Young and released his debut single "Rollercoaster" in 2018, will serve as an opening act. The tour launches on Jan. 30 at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium in Knoxville, Tenn., then travels to New York City, St. Louis, Missouri, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City and more before wrapping up in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada on May 9.
“I’m so excited about the Chapters Tour for so many reasons. Being in a position to continue to headline even bigger shows is an honor and humbling, and I can’t wait to show our fans what we’ve been working on for them. They’re definitely in for some surprises!” Young says in a press release.
The chart-topping singer and his wife, Taylor, recently welcomed their first child, daughter Presley Elizabeth, on Oct. 21. "She is perfect and we are forever better because she was given to us," Young shared with People upon announcing her birth.
He also told Taste of Country before Presley's arrival that he's written an unreleased song for his daughter.
Tickets for the Chapters Tour go on sale Friday (Nov. 8) at 10AM local time.
