South Idaho Hotel Compared To Twisted Film 'Backrooms' Online

When picking a hotel room to stay in, most people look at pictures and reviews before booking. A hotel in southwestern Idaho has been getting some online attention for being similar to a set designed for a horror film that came out in May and was the highest-grossing movie in America for a short period of time.

I've booked rooms in some pretty unique hotels in my day. We've stayed in hotels that have a reputation for paranormal activity on multiple occasions. Two of them include the Holbrooke Hotel in Northern California and the Silver Queen in Virginia City, Nevada.

One Boise-area hotel that doesn't necessarily have a lot of online haunted banter surrounding it has still managed to get some eerie reactions from Reddit fans due to its interior and resemblance to the popular 2026 release Backrooms.

Boise-Area Hotel Has Been Drawing Comparisons To The Hit Film 'Backrooms'

A visitor to the Boise hotel shared photos a few weeks ago, which sparked an online Reddit chat. Having seen Backrooms, I can say there are similarities, such as long, unsettling hallways, random furniture placed in odd locations, seemingly endless rooms, and, most notably, a storage area shaped like a small house, just like one that was used in the film when the lead actress gets chased by the pirate entity toward the end of the movie.

We actually had a lot of fun walking the grounds of the Vista Avenue hotel. I would stay there anytime. My son made a video of the experience and shared it on his YouTube channel.
