3-Year-Old Who Died After Being Left in Hot Car Identified
LAS VEGAS (AP) — The Clark County coroner has identified a 3-year-old boy who died in Las Vegas after being left in a parked car in triple-digit heat for at least an hour.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the boy who died on Saturday is Chase Lee of Fillmore, Utah.
Authorities say Chase was found in a four-door passenger sedan sitting in a car seat with the windows all the way up.
Chase was in Las Vegas as part of a large family gathering that included about 12 children.
Las Vegas police Lt. Roger Price says it was too late to save Chase by the time his parents figured out where he was.
Price says Saturday's high was 114 degrees Fahrenheit, which means the car's temperature could have reached 170 degrees.
