My youngest son is turning 3 this summer which means he may be ready for pre-school. My older son was not ready for school when he was 3 so I am really on the fence about sending my youngest to school. Part of me wonders if pre-school at the age of 3 is even beneficial.

I will be the first to admit that I am still learning when it comes to my children and our school systems. That being said, what is the proper procedure for dropping off your children at school? At High Schools I know there is a specific "Drop Off Zone" but at the elementary school my son attends there is a sign that says "No Stopping On Curb".

The first thing kids think about at at the sight of snow is, "Will school be canceled today?" The first thing parents think about is the road conditions and do my kids have school. The Flu season has been awful this year, so I think most parents are doing everything in their power to keep their kids healthy. Some parents are even going as far as banning Birthday cakes from parties and schools because blowing out birthday candles might spread germs.

Extreme temperatures have hit The Magic Valley. People are bundling up before they go outside and if you are not bundling your kids up at this point you just might be evil. I saw a bunch of kids waiting at a bus stop yesterday. All of the kids looked extremely cold and one little boy didn't have a coat on.

My son's last day of school before Christmas break was yesterday and I would be lying if I didn't say that I was extremely happy that he will be in my care for the next few weeks after the tragedy that happened in Connecticut on Friday.
