WATCH: Yellowstone National Park Tourist Charges Bear, Gets Chased

Fresh off a recent trip to Yellowstone National Park, I can safely say that all the videos posted over the years of tourists getting trampled and knocked down by wildlife have failed miserably to deliver a lasting safety message to many human beings.

I got back to Twin Falls late Sunday evening from a weekend stay in Island Park at Cabin Village. My wife and I rented a place there and found the accommodations and proximity to the park to be pretty awesome. We spent nine hours in Western Yellowstone Park on Saturday and saw our share of knuckleheads and jackwagons.

Shortly after discussing my trip Tuesday morning with a co-worker who's heading up there for a few days on Thursday, a video from the good folks at Yellowstone National Park, "Invasion of the Tourons / Tourons of Yellowstone," was brought to my attention.

Yellowstone Park Tourist Recorded Charging A Bear Before Being Chased

A video shot by an unidentified group of young people traveling through an undisclosed section of Yellowstone National Park shows a passenger outside the vehicle aggressively posturing and verbally taunting a small bear staring down at the man from a hillside. May God have mercy on us all.

Once again--for the cheap seats--please do not exit a vehicle to flex on one of nature's pets. In this case, I found myself rooting for the bear to catch up to the guy before he safely returned to the vehicle.
