The Twin Falls Police Department dispatched officers and detectives to several schools in Twin Falls on Thursday to ensure the safety and security of students and staff after an unknown caller threatened to harm students at a local school.

City of Twin Falls Emergency Dispatchers received a call at 11:39 a.m. from an unknown individual, who threatened physical harm to students and staff at the Twin Falls Christian Academy.

Dispatch immediately notified school administrators and executed a response plan to secure the Twin Falls Christian Academy and other schools in the Twin Falls area.

The Twin Falls Christian Academy was the only school placed on lock down. Parents of students at the school were notified by school staff.

Detectives with the Twin Falls Police Department are investigating the call and will release more information as it becomes available.
