Can You Tow a Car That is Parked in Front of Your Idaho Home?
The holidays are fast approaching, and that means that many visitors will be coming into town over the next few weeks. Parking in neighborhoods can be crowded as everyone tries to find a place to park their vehicles during the holidays. Sometimes, a vehicle may park in front of your home, and it might upset you to see it in a spot that you want your guests to park, you want to park your car, or you don't want to look at someone's vehicle in front of your home. It can be annoying and inconvenient to see someone parked in front of your home, especially during the holidays, but can you do anything about it in Idaho?
Cars Parked in Front of Your Home in Idaho
When a car is parked in front of your home, it can be a tad annoying. You never know how long they will be there; it can throw you off if you are planning to mow the lawn or do yard work, it can be a spot they took when you weren't home, or perhaps you hate looking at the vehicle altogether. Sadly, you do not own the street in front of your home, and as much as you want to claim it as yours, you can't own everything. There are a few things you can do, though, if the car is bothering you, although your options are limited in Idaho.
Can You Tow a Car Parked in Front of Your Home?
When a car pulls in front of your house, you can't go out and have it moved instantly, but if it sits there for an extended period of time, you do have a few options available. You can reach out to local authorities and let them know that the vehicle hasn't moved in a day or two, and if it has sat still for 24 to 48 hours, it could be towed. If the vehicle is blocking your vehicle, your driveway, the mailbox, or a fire hydrant, you can also have it towed. If the vehicle is in your yard, your driveway, or crosses over onto your property, you also have the right to have it towed. If it is sitting in front of your home, legally parked, you can not do much until the allotted time, mentioned above.

While cars filling the street and being in front of your home can be a burden this time of year, and any time through the year, you sadly have to deal with it and remain annoyed, angry, and unhappy, until they have done one of the above to where you can take action.
