Well, at least this isn't boring. But, I didn't say it was normal either. Nope. This Twin Falls postcard may just be the strangest thing you'll see today.

I found this old postcard on Ebay recently. According to the description, it's an original postcard dated from around 1910. It's a rather interesting piece of history once you realize what it is.

Back in the old days (*imagine this being said by a crotchety old man voice*), Twin Falls was very proud of it's agriculture and irrigation. We still are, but back around the turn of the 20th century, we did it in weird ways. This postcard is a perfect example.

I get the point that they're trying to convey that our pears are big here. Comparing it to a baby by putting the child in a pear is (*ahem*) interesting. On the back of the card is a handwritten note that I can barely understand.

The asking price for this piece of Twin Falls baby pear history is a mere $9.99 plus $2.50 for shipping. If you buy it, you'll know you have a one-of-a-kind.
