One of the Magic Valley's most anticipated new businesses recently provided the community with a projected opening date. The former Gerties Brick Oven Cookery location in Twin Falls will soon house a retail market and food truck hub, according to the Easter Sunday announcement.

For the past few weeks, we've been teasing area residents by keeping everyone informed about one of the area's new businesses set to open soon at 602 2nd Avenue South. You might call it social media stalking, but we call it investigative journalism.

Terra Cotta Park, the business venture of local Tara Rueda, gave the community yet another update regarding the impending soft opening on April 5 via it's Meta page. We first alerted locals of the great news about a month ago after we learned of Rueda's intentions to take over Gerties' old brick address.

Terra Cotta Park has been described as a self-sustained retail market and food truck hub where locals can gather afternoons and evenings. Locally-grown food, and locally produced artwork and goods, will also be a key element of the business.

Rueda also welcomed the site's newest coffee shop, Milk & Honey Coffee Co., which will be utilizing space at the Second Avenue South location as well.

'So excited to see you all soon. Opening day is set for May 1st!!!,' read the Meta post from Easter Sunday.

Pictures of progress made on the interior of the new undertaking were also shared as part of the holiday weekend post. We'd like to wish Tara and the new team at Terra Cotta Park the best of luck with the planned soft opening that's roughly three weeks away.
