I truly believe that by the time the policy kicks in, this will have already been required by health district orders.

Thanks to mask mandates put in place by both the City of Boise and Central District Health, masks are already an expectation while shopping at the Boise NW location on Eagle Road and Boise location on Milwaukee.

But what about the Treasure Valley's third Target location? Located on North Market Place Boulevard in Nampa, it's not currently bound to any local mask mandates. Southwest District Health, which covers Canyon County, tried to meet about a mask mandate on Thursday morning.

That meeting was quickly derailed by Ammon Bundy and a large group of protestors. The group said they wished to attend the meeting, but were turned away for not following the rule requiring visitors to wear masks while inside the building. Things got physical and the meeting was eventually rescheduled. KTVB reporter, Joe Parris, shared some video clips of how things played out.

While we don't have a date for the rescheduled meeting, we have a feeling it will be before Target's mask policy officially goes into effect. They confirmed to the USA Today that their policy begins on Saturday, August 1 with certain exemptions for the young and medically unable. Should you forget to grab one before you leave the house and realize it once you're at the stores doors, Target staff will provide you with a disposable one. They understand that it's a new routine for many.

Walmart, CVS and Walgreens announced similar policies this week. They all plan to make masks mandatory starting Monday, July 20.
