TCM Interactive reports that Barack Obama won Ohio and six other swing states to surpass 270 electoral votes and secure another term as president. As of 3 a.m.: Obama racked up 303 electoral votes to Romney’s 206, according to the CNN. Florida remained too close to call early on Wednesday.

CNN reports their is a tie in the first election results. President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, each received five votes in Dixville Notch, New Hampshire just after midnight.

According to LiveScience, about 60% of eligible voters will vote in the election today.  And that's VERY low compared to the rest of the free world.  Of 169 countries with free elections, the U.S. ranks 120th in voter turnout.  There are two reasons why.
