A road linking Featherville to the Big Smoky area in the Sawtooth National Forest will reopen for travel after being closed because of a washout several years ago
UPDATE: The Phillips Fire north of Fairfield is closer to full control as firefighters worked to contain the blaze that threatened homes and a ski lodge in the area.
There was a 4.2 magnitude earthquake near Stanley on Friday. The quake shook things up and caused some damage including a land slide from the top of Baron Spire.
Fire crews are battling a blaze on the Sawtooth National Forest eight miles north of Fairfield. According to the U.S. Forest Service, the Phillips Fire was reported on August 5, in the Free Gold Creek drainage.
