Unlike some years, big game animals will likely be widely dispersed this autumn in the Magic Valley region for fall’s upcoming hunts, according to wildlife officials.
A herd of about 100 elk are creating a potential traffic safety risk in eastern Idaho. On Monday the heard moved into an area between the towns of Sugar city and Rexburg along highways 20 and 33 creating a concern for drivers headed through the area, according to the Idaho Department of Fish and Game.
People might see some low-flying helicopters at certain outdoor locations across the state during the winter months as staff from the Idaho Department of Fish and Game conduct deer and elk surveys.
