When I was younger, I fancied myself a bit of an artist. I actually taught myself Calligraphy and would spend a great deal of time practicing my handwriting. Now, at age 36, my handwriting looks worse than my doctor's. What happened? It turns out that I'm not the only one concerned about this, and there are those that say technology is to blame.

Representative Linden Bateman of Idaho Falls wants to make cursive mandatory for all Idaho School's curriculum. He says it promotes manual dexterity, boosts reading comprehension and enhances cognitive development. Brad Weiser thinks the idea is a joke and a waste of time and money. I, however, think the idea is brilliant.

When I read this post this morning that said Representative  Linden Bateman of Idaho Falls wants to bring back cursive, I thought it was a joke.
