The updated and newly beautified State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition will arrive on Xbox One some time later this year. When, exactly? Well, if you're going to PAX South you might be among the first to find out.

On Facebook, developer Undead Labs stated that they'd definitely be announcing State of Decay: YOSE's release date later this month (which makes their statement an announcement about an announcement). Those attending PAX South will be privy to info the Plebian masses won't, however, as Undead Labs will have a booth at the event to promote their upcoming re-release.

Expanding State of Decay to the Xbox One market was a pretty logical move for both Undead Labs and Microsoft; State of Decay was the fastest-selling XBLA title of all time, moving over 250,000 copies within the first 48 hours of its release, over 700,000 within its first month, and over 2,000,000 as of October of last year. Who knew combining open world mayhem with a zombie apocalypse would be such a recipe for success?

When State of Decay: Year One Edition comes to Xbox One later this year, it will not only contain the base game, but numerous tweaks and upgrades, and all currently existing DLC, and if its anything like vanilla State of Decay, it's going to be flipping awesome.
