If I have any kind of addiction, it's to tech.  I usually have to have the latest thing so I burn through my stuff pretty fast.

My wife has been on me to sell some of my old smartphones.  I don't know why I'm so reluctant to part with them... all they do is sit on a shelf and collect dust.  After months of prodding, she convinced me to sell them.

I thought about Ebay, but I didn't want to mess with shipping.  Then, I remembered asking you not long ago about where YOU shop for bargains.  On our poll, the majority of you said that you liked Craigslist.  It seemed to me that if you are shopping there, then that's where I should go to sell.

Selling the item was easy.  After a couple texts, we agreed on a fair price. Then came the kind of weird part.  Most "tip" sites that I visited suggested that you should NEVER complete the transaction at your house.  That makes sense.  You don't know them and they don't know you.  You don't know who the heck is on the other end of the conversation until you meet them, right?

It is suggested that you should  pick a public place to meet.  Easy enough... or is it?  By the time we were done, I felt like we were planning something illegal.  Is it just me or does this conversation look fishy to you?

Is there a less awkward way to do this?
