Report of Malicious Harassment at Twin Falls Islamic Center
On Saturday October 28, 2017, at approximately 7:30 am, Twin Falls Police Officers were dispatched to the Twin Falls Islamic Center reference to a report of malicious harassment.
According to a press release from the City of Twin Falls, officers were shown to the northwest corner of the parking lot, where they found a cross made out of wooden sticks that was wrapped in bacon. The cross had pig feet and a pig’s tongue attached to it. No property damage was reported. The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made at this point.
Lt. Terry Thueson of the Twin Falls Police Department said, “Hate crimes such as Malicious Harassment are very serious and the Twin Falls Police Department takes these crimes very seriously. The Twin Falls Police Department will do everything within our means to identify those responsible and hold them accountable. Acts such as this cannot be ignored and will not be tolerated in our community.”
