Man Identified as Power Rangers Actor Allegedly Shoves Elderly Man
Several days ago, the Nampa Police Department posted a photo of a man caught on video allegedly shoving an elderly person in a parking lot. Nampa, Idaho Police were asking for public assistance in identifying the man or providing any possible information on his whereabouts. The suspect is being identified as a Power Rangers actor who reportedly had plans of appearing at an upcoming event in Twin Falls, Idaho.
Suspect Description
The man was described as a man in his mid-30s driving a black, four-door truck with Texas plates.
Video of the Incident from Nampa Police
In the video, the suspect, presumably in his 30s, appears to be involved in a verbal disagreement in a parking log. The footage shows him allegedly shoving the elderly man, who was using a walker, to the ground. The suspect then continues to yell at the elderly man while he is lying on the ground before angrily getting into his truck and driving away.
Victim's Condition
According to Nampa police, the elderly man in the video received assistance and is expected to recover.
Suspect Identified
Nampa Police have now confirmed the man has been ‘IDENTIFIED’ and it turns out, the suspect could be an actor who played the Green Ranger in a recent reboot of Power Rangers.
Suspect Reportedly Was to Appear at Magic Valley Comic-Con
Daily Mail reports that the suspect is 35-year-old actor David Rivera, who is being charged with misdemeanor battery following the incident, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. According to Daily Mail Rivera was scheduled to appear at Magic Valley's First Annual Comic-Con at Magic Valley Mall in Twin Falls this weekend. We were not able to find Rivera listed on Magic Valley Comic-Con's website among any of the featured guests. He may have been removed from the site.
