BURLEY, Idaho (KLIX)-A 28-year-old man is facing attempted murder and aggravated battery with use of a deadly weapon in Cassia County Court. According to court records, Pedro Nanez III, 28, was arraigned on the charges on Monday after a reported shooting on Sunday in Burley. The Cassia County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident that may involve other people.

According to court documents, deputies were dispatched to a call of shots fired on August 23, at around 11:45 p.m. to the area of 10th and Shrodde Ave in Burley. They made contact with a man who claimed his Cadillac Escalade had been shot at and detectives could see multiple bullet holes in the vehicle. Detectives were told that three men wearing blue bandannas over their faces had been bothering their children in a back alley and that the man got into his Escalade and drove to the area were he was allegedly shot at.

He told officers he recognized one of the men as Nanez, even with the bandanna on. He told officers Nanez allegedly had gotten into a Chrysler sedan and fled the area. Detectives later found the Chrysler partially hidden in a back yard and eventually found out where Nanez was and arrested him.
