Friends across the country are telling me they’re seeing spikes in gas prices.  A dime to twenty-five cents in some places.

we should expect a nationwide increase because of the disruption.

This isn’t unusual when a mighty storm shuts down refineries.  Prices here in the Magic Valley have been running higher than the national average, but as of this morning, I haven’t seen signs move since early last week.

Is this temporary?  Probably, according to an analyst I heard on Neil Cavuto’s program on Fox News Channel. We should expect a nationwide increase because of the disruption.

It should also be brief.  The analyst does say when prices go back down, it won’t be as fast as when the cost went up.  Big increase coming and then a few weeks of pain waiting for the price to stabilize to pre-Harvey levels.
