
Cold Case: Idaho Man Believed To Have Drown Still Missing
One of southern Idaho's oldest cold cases involving a man who vanished on his way home from a bar recently crossed the 25-year mark of investigation.
In June of 1999, an Idaho Falls man disappeared after leaving a pub. Numerous witnesses observed the man in the establishment for a period of time before leaving alone to walk to another bar. He never made it home to the residence he shared with his mother.
What happened between the bar and the man's residence remains a mystery after more than a quarter of a century.

Idaho Man Missing Since 1999 One Of South Idaho's Oldest Cold Cases
The missing man's name is Darwin Vest, and his story has been featured in numerous podcasts, on missing persons websites, and the social media pages of multiple Idaho police departments.

According to a profile on Track Missing, Vest is 5'9" and weighed approximately 160 pounds when he went missing. He has scars on his forehead and abdomen from an appendix surgery. Vest would be 74 years old today.
Multiple witnesses reported seeing Vest near the Snake River the evening he disappeared. One even told police he might have been witnessed falling into the water and floating downstream, according to The Forgotten Cases Meta page.
