Twin Falls is buzzing today after social media posts claimed that In-N-Out Burger is planning on opening a location in the Magic Valley.

Some people were wary of the post claim, but the news has been confirmed and In-N-Out will be coming to Twin Falls. But, there are some things that you need to know about the plans before you get too excited.

Confirmed: Twin Falls is Getting an In-N-Out Burger

Here’s what we do know: In-N-Out Burger has filed for a special use permit with Twin Falls Planning and Zoning Commission to ‘allow drive-thru services and extended hours of operation on property located at 1965 Blue Lakes Blvd N.’

A notice was sent out for a public hearing coming up at 6 PM on June 25th, 2024 at the City Council Chambers at 203 Main Ave in downtown Twin Falls. During the hearing, the request from In-N-Out will be discussed and anyone wishing to comment can show and be heard at the appointed time. Be aware that if you wish to speak you are only allowed 2 minutes, and can’t share your time with another person - unless a written petition to represent 5 or more people is submitted in advance.

After the public hearing, the city could either approve or deny the request and the applicant (In-N-Out Burger) will need to modify the request or look for a different location.

This could be a real possibility as the location might not be ideal for the inevitable traffic that will come with the new restaurant. The address requested is near the Perrine Bridge and is currently an Outback Steakhouse.

It isn’t stated whether the Outback building would be demolished and a new one built for In-N-Out or if they would use the existing structure. There is also no timeline for the opening, so it could be this year or a few years. You can attend the public hearing to learn more.
