UPDATE 11/30/23 2PM: The Winter Storm Watch and Winter Weather Advisories have been lifted for Twin Falls. Snow is still expected, but only about 2 inches in the valley Thursday through Friday. There is a greater chance of rain now than before in the Magic Valley through the rest of the weekend.

The Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for the Boise area. Pocatello (including the Snake Plain, Arco Desert toward Shoshone, and part of the Magic Valley) has a Winter Weather Advisory with up to 3 inches of snow expected on Friday into Saturday morning. The Stanley Winter Weather Advisory could bring up to 3 inches of snow Friday into Saturday and then an additional 6 inches of snow possible with the Winter Storm Watch from Saturday to Sunday morning.

ORIGINAL STORY: Idahoans are bracing for another round of wintry weather this weekend as a storm is expected to hit Thursday night and last through Sunday.

Temperatures will be slightly higher than last week but still hanging around freezing overnight. A Winter Storm Watch and a Winter Weather Advisory have been issued for Twin Falls and Boise. Rain and snow are expected during the weekend storm and freezing temperatures some nights will cause roads to be dangerous.

How Much Snow is in the Weekend Forecast For Southern Idaho

With the Winter Storm Watch from noon on Friday through Sunday morning, we can expect 3 to 5 inches of snow with an additional inch possible Thursday into Friday during the Winter Weather Advisory that has also been issued. The higher elevations could get up to 15 inches of snow.

Snow is expected to start on Thursday night in Twin Falls, dropping about an inch overnight. The snow will continue on Friday morning with less than an inch of accumulation and a high temperature of 36 degrees. Friday afternoon the snow will become more scattered and the low will get down below freezing one more time and won’t get below 29 until next Friday. Saturday will have more scattered snow mixed with rain as the temperature rises to 38 for a high and a low of just 34.

Sunday will start the new week with rain showers and a high of 42, then the temperatures climb into the upper 40s and possibly to 50 over the next 4 days. Wednesday, December 6th will be the warmest in the extended forecast reaching 49 degrees and possibly up to 50.

After Wednesday, the high temperatures for the next week will stay in the mid to upper-40s, and the lows will be in the mid-30s.
