We're heading into summer and people from all over will be busting out their camping gear to enjoy the Idaho weather.

But, it's not all sunshine and rainbows... something is lurking beneath a popular lake and one video shows us something eerie happening in the water.

 There's something in the water

It's not uncommon for people to be paranoid about swimming in the ocean. You don't know how far down it goes, you're floating at the top, and anything can swim up and get you at any point - well, at least that's the fear.

Some people don't think or worry about that when visiting a lake. Can something live in the lake and technically "get you"? Sure, but it's not likely.

Or is it?

A family submitted a video to our sister station showing us what appears to be a "lake monster" at Payette Lake. This might ring a bell for those familiar with Payette Lake, known for its legends about a lake monster named Sharli living underneath.

In the video, we see a large mass swimming around the water and we're told the video doesn't do the being's size justice.

It's kind of creepy to think about but if we're being honest, it's pretty awesome for Idaho to have its own underwater cryptid that could one day rival the Lochness Monster or even Bigfoot.
