In partnership with Grammy.com, country star Hunter Hayes has officially announced his upcoming Spring 2019 Closer to You Tour, which the singer says will kick off several other new developments in his career.

In a tour announcement video, Hayes drops some hints about the exciting new things to come. "I'm very excited to finally announce our Closer to You Spring Tour," the singer says.  "New show, new music -- a lot of new things. I can't for you to see what we've been working on." In late January, Hayes released "Heartbreak," his first official single in three years. According to the country star, "Heartbreak" and its corresponding batch of songs encapsulated an energy that he hadn't experienced in a long time.

At a recent press event, Hayes added that the result of that energy was a product he couldn't wait to share with the world: "I'm really proud of this album ... because this album represents a massive series of life shifts for me, and they're not daunting things, but they're seemingly daunting when you're in the middle of it. It's been a lot of transformation, a lot of growth."

Hayes' Closer to You Tour is set to kick off on April 18 in Atlanta, Ga., and will run through early June. For more details and ticketing information, visit his website.
