FATAL ACCIDENT: Idaho Passenger Dies in Single Vehicle Rollover
Fatality Crash South of Malad Claims One Life
MALAD, ID – According to a press release, Idaho State Police (ISP) is investigating a tragic single-vehicle collision that occurred on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 4:30 p.m., on Interstate 15 near mile marker 3 in Oneida County.
Details of the Crash
A 2004 GMC Sierra was traveling southbound on I-15 when the driver lost control and veered off the right shoulder. The driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to roll across the lanes and come to rest on its top in the median.
Victim Information
The driver, a 29-year-old man from North Logan, Utah, was not wearing a seatbelt and was airlifted to a nearby hospital. His passenger, a 34-year-old man from Pocatello, Idaho, also not wearing a seatbelt, tragically died at the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash.
