A recent round of United States polls has implied that the majority of Americans are dissatisfied with the job the only commander in chief ever to host a mixed martial event on the White House lawn is doing.

President Donald Trump's second term and final day in the White House will be January 20, 2029, barring any unforeseen health problems. Data from recent polling appears to show that as much as 60 percent of the country believes he's already unfit to continue leading the nation because of his age and perceived personality traits.

More than a handful of polls were recently taken in America by major political content sources, and they all resulted in the same conclusion--less than 40 percent of adults as a whole believe the president is doing a good job steering the ship from the Oval Office.

According to a MarketPlace report for August 6, 2026, Ballotpedia, RealClearPolitics, Quinnipiac University, The Economist/YouGov, ABC News/Washington Post/Ipsos, and CNN/SSRS all show President Donald Trump with a national approval rating of less than 40 percent.

Listed as main reasons behind the shared public disapproval were age and dishonesty, according to YouGov data. Trump's handling of American crime (federal intervention in law enforcement) and the ongoing war with Iraq appear to be two major driving forces behind the opinions of those who believe Trump is failing as president, according to YouGov.
