Dolly Parton to Be Honored at Grammy Awards With All-Star Tribute
Dolly Parton has been added to the list of country singers who will perform at the 2019 Grammy Awards.
The country icon will take the stage at the 61st annual Grammy Awards to perform new music from the soundtrack of the recent Netflix film Dumplin', which features a number of new songs from Parton alongside new duet recordings of many of her classic hits. Parton will also be the subject of an all-star Grammy Awards tribute from Little Big Town, Maren Morris, Kacey Musgraves, and Katy Perry, who will pay homage to the eight-time Grammy winner and 2019 MusiCares Person of the Year with covers of her best-known songs. The appearance marks Parton's first Grammy Awards performance since 2001.
Current Grammy nominees J Balvin and Young Thug will also join previous Grammy winners Ricky Martin and Arturo Sandoval, along with Camila Cabello, to open the show, which is set to air live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Feb. 10 at 8PM ET. Alicia Keys is set to host the 2019 Grammy Awards.
The newly announced performers join a previously announced lineup that includes Brandi Carlile and Miley Cyrus. Dan + Shay are also set to perform at the 2019 Grammy Awards.
Cardi B, Post Malone, Shawn Mendes and Janelle Monae are also among the acts who will perform, with more artists to be announced.
