Country singer Clay Walker performed the National Anthem prior to Game 5 of the 2017 World Series on Sunday night (Oct. 29). Readers can press play above to watch his performance.

A native of the Houston, Texas, area, Walker has performed "The Star-Spangled Banner" at a number of Houston Astros games in prior years. In June, he performed at team owner Jim Craine's wedding. For his Game 5 National Anthem performance, Walker took the field with his son William in tow; both were dressed in Astros jerseys.

"Our National Anthem is the greatest song on Earth. The honor that I feel for even being asked to sing it is -- there are no words for it," Walker said before his performance, "and knowing that, what all our city has been through, and knowing that we get a chance tonight to represent Major League Baseball on the biggest stage, to the world ... It's my honor to stand there with my hand over my heart, my hat in my hand."

The Houston Astros won Game 5 of the 2017 World Series 13-12, after the Los Angeles Dodgers came back in the ninth inning to tie the game. Houston now leads the series three games to two; it is a best-of-seven series, so an Astros win in Game 6 would end the series.

Game 6 of the 2017 World Series is scheduled for Tuesday night (Oct. 31) at 8PM ET. The game will take place in Los Angeles.

Walker is not the first country artist who has sung the National Anthem during the 2017 World Series: For Game 2 on Oct. 25, Brad Paisley performed.
