Precut Christmas trees at Lodge Pole Pines (Charlie Brown Trees) are available starting December 1st. You can also pick up local honey and farm fresh eggs. Every year families load up the sleds, snow machines, kids, dogs, and chain saws and head to the hills to cut down their own Christmas tree (Clark Griswold style). The Sawtooth National Forest usually begins Christmas Tree sales the Monday before Thanksgiving through December 24. The permits will be available at the Sawtooth National Forest Supervisor’s Office. Each permit allows one Christmas tree to be cut. The cost of a permit for one tree is $5 for a tree up to 10 feet in length and $10 for a tree up to 20 feet in length.
