(KLIX)- Twin Falls County Animal Control will no longer be picking up that lost dog for the city of Twin Falls. The city has decided to go its own way with animal control. It had been working with the county for 11 years. The city decided to take back the services to focus more on animal control within the city limits. It said 70 percent of calls to the county animal control was from people living inside the city.

City Police Chief Brian Pike said they could pay for services or have more control over the services by doing it themselves. The city has moved two officers from the airport to take over animal control. Already on Friday the animal control officers responded to 20 calls of service.
