We have all been to in home parties. I actually love in home parties...who doesn't love shopping with friends. I have noticed that in home parties used to be Tupperware only and now you can have purse parties, pants parties, jewelers parties, medical oil parties etc. So why not combine your garage sale with your in home party?

If you've got a little extra money this month, we've got a list of some things you might want to spend it on.  Here are seven big-ticket items you can get good deals on in September. 1.)  Mattresses.  Right now is when mattress stores start trying to get rid of old inventory.  The deals started over Labor Day weekend, and they'll continue at least through the rest of the month.

Having a family yard sale seems like a good idea until you actual start planning it. Who knew it is actually A LOT of work! I don't mind hard work, if it pays off.

Time to start using Craigslist and Ebay it to sell all the junk around your house.  Because you're sitting on a gold mine.  Which you might even use to fund future casual encounters. I like the occasional yard sale, but I am not like some of my friends who are yard sale fanatics...seriously, it's like every Saturday is Black Friday. I had one friend who would draw out a map and disperse it with a list of locations, items and pick up times. She would be at my door at 5:30am, ready to go. I had no idea mini-vans could fly through neighborhoods and stop lights!
