Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 2pm for the Magic Valley. Snow overnight has turned to ice with freezing rain creating treacherous driving conditions. Many Magic Valley schools have been cancelled.
A strong cold front will bring gusty winds tonight to the Magic Valley tonight. The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for gusts up to 50 mph.
The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Severe Thunderstorm warning for Southeastern Cassia County, West Central Oneida County, and South Central Power County.
The National Weather Service in Boise has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Gooding County in south central Idaho, northwestern Jerome County, Twin Falls County, southeastern Elmore County, and south central Camas County until 6:30 pm.
The National Weather Service in Boise has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for southeastern Gooding County, eastern Owyhee County, northwestern Jerome County, and northwestern Twin Falls County until 4:15pm.
Expect windy conditions tonight in the Western Magic Valley. There is a Wind Advisory in effect from 10 pm tonight (April 17, 2014) till tomorrow morning at 7 am (April 18, 2014).
