A potential 30 Rock revival is building more and more steam. Creator and star Tina Fey is taking the blame for recent rumors, but looking more into a Muppet Babies-style prequel or hot robot-on-robot action. We may need to explain that last one.

The moment former Alaskan governor and 2008 Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin endorsed Donald Trump for President of the United States, you know the producers at SNL hurried to get Tina Fey on the phone. The beloved former cast member, who just hosted the show last month, famously took on the role of Palin eight years ago and many people believe that her scathing imitation actually did lasting harm to the real Palin’s political chances. In any case, this event allowed SNL to pair Fey’s Palin with Darrell Hammond‘s Trump. Thanks, reality!

It’s a testament to the staying power of certain public figures that they’ve been played by more than one SNL cast member over the years. People like Hillary Clinton, the former First Lady turned former Senator turned former Secretary of State turned current Democratic Presidential frontrunner, linger on long past Saturday Night Live cast rotations. So what is the show to do when one of its guest hosts used to play a vital and very much in the public eye politician back in the day? Put her on stage with the current version, of course.

Dual guest hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler brought a lot of magic to last night’s episode of SNL, but the former cast members and Sisters co-stars probably hit their peak with a sort-of-music-video about their “Dope Squad,” aka the team of perfectly ordinary people who make their lives better on a daily basis. And while they may be wearing tight leather outfits, wielding weapons, and posing dramatically in front of post-apocalyptic imagery, the subject matter is far more mundane…and then Amy Schumer shows up.

SNL delivers the greatest Christmas gift of all by inviting both Tina Fey and Amy Poehler to host the 2015 finale together, the way nature intended. With their new comedy Sisters in theaters this weekend (take that, Star Wars), the duo hit the SNL stage in top form with a handful of surprise guests, a couple of classic characters and a whole, whole lot of joy. SNL bounced back nicely from Donald Trump this past weekend with The Hunger Games star Elizabeth Banks, looking even bigger this coming Saturday with Matthew McConaughey and Adele, but December 2015 will really go all out. Our final three hosts of the year include Ryan Gosling, Chris Hemsworth (poor Liam), and best of all, a dual Sisters hosting with SNL alum Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.

Last years Oscars host Neil Patrick Harris said almost immediately after the broadcast that he “doubted” he would ever do it again, explaining, “I don’t know that my family nor my soul could take it.” Which, of course, meant that the search for a replacement was on almost immediately. But, if you’re looking for just one person, you may be barking up the wrong tree. This year’s Oscars producers say “there will be multiple hosts for sure.”

If there’s one movie you’re excited about on December 18 this year it’s...probably Star Wars: The Force Awakens. But, if there are two movies you’re excited about on December 18, the other one is definitely Sisters, starring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. The former SNL co-stars and Golden Globes hosts reteam for this only comedy bold enough to take on Luke Skywalker and Han Solo, and we’ve got the first trailer for you.

Besides a funny opening monologue, the 2015 Golden Globes were kinda...boring? Which is weird, because the Golden Globes are supposed to be a lot of things, but boring isn't one of them. Their entire existence is pretty much to be the boozy, irreverent cousin to the Oscars. But, next year hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler won't be back to host (their three-year contract ended this year) and based on this awards presentation, we think they should give Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader a chance.

Having killed it with their Golden Globes hosting duties for the last two years, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler once again turned out some memorable jokes. The 2015 Golden Globes winners are considered somewhat of a primer for the upcoming Oscars (both of which feature many of the same big Hollywood names and movies of the past year), but not exactly a perfect predictor either.
